On April 16, 2005 Freedom Quilts honored these four soldiers by inviting the soldiers' families to Varina Iowa to receive a quilt.

Betty wanted each of the soldiers' families to help bring comfort to a
loved one by putting their tie of love into the quilt for the young lady that lost her husband.
This quilt will be sent to her after it is completed

Leslie and her daughter Eva and Eva's boys came to the Nielsen's home to receive her quilt
