Army Sgt. Velton Locklear III
29, of Lacey, Wash. was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment,
3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He died Sept. 23 2006
of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee
during combat operations in Riyadh, Iraq.
