Aug 31, 2002 We no more than returned from NY and we are planning a trip to New Jersey. We've been in contact with Sen Corzine's office to setup a date. At this time we are hopefully planning on the first part of Dec. So keep working on your quilts. Send them as soon as you can so they will make it here in time for the Dec trip. We need your quilts so we can give some comfort to the families in their time of need.

We have a date to go to NY. Aug 8 we will be in NY to deliver quilts to the families. We're really looking forward to meeting the families and giving them a quilt that you have made with Love to Comfort them.

July 14, 2002 Betty and Patty were Grand Marshalls for the Summerfest Day in Albert City IA on June 22. The second picture shows our float and the Varina Quilters. The're a group of very dedicated and hard working volunteers that we would be lost without their help. Thank You Varina Quilters.

June 30, 2002 Hello fellow quilters. Its been pretty hot so it's a good time to be inside where it's cool. While your inside I hope your working hard on your quilts. We're still working hard to set up a date for our New York trip. I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July. Be Proud of our Great Country and God Bless America

Soon we will be heading to New York and when we get back we will make sure and let you all know how things went. So check the website for more updates. Also some of the quilts will be sent directly to the victims families if they live outside of the New York area which means we need money donations to help pay for the shipping. Keep working on your quilts because we still need more quilts. Thank you all for caring and helping me out. For those of you who have received a letter from the victims families and were part of the Freedom Quilt Project please send us a copy so we can share with others what these beautiful quilts mean to them. When we do presentations we share the letters so others can see how very important the quilts are to the families. Please send me a copy.

April 21, 2002 We are planning a trip to New York the first part of July to present quilts to the families. For your quilt to be included with the July trip it should be shipped to us by May 30. We are continuing with Freedom Quilts until every victims' family member that wants a Freedom Quilt has one. That might take 2-3 years depending on how many of you help me. For every loss of a loved one it affects more than one person. Multiply the number of victims by 3 or 4 and that's how many quilts I need. With Gods help and all of the quilters in America we can reach everyone. Take a look at the Quilts by State page to see how your state is doing. Mar 30, 2002 I hope everyone has a Happy Easter. Phase II will end the last of May but Phase III will begin the first of June and run until the end of Dec. This will give everyone plenty of time to help me complete this project. I need every ones help in order to finish this project by the end of Dec.
