My Dear Friends
Here we are in 2008… making new resolutions and hoping for bright days in the weeks and
months to come. Throughout this new year, my hopes and dreams are to reach out and
comfort mourning families, to continue making quilts for these families and to hope
that every one of these family members will know that we, their fellow countrymen,
hold them dear to our hearts… that we have not forgotten their pain. My hope for the
New Year is that you will choose to walk with me in this journey of love and comfort,
for I know I cannot do it alone.
Your contribution kept us going in 2007 so we would not fail to continue our mission.
Thanks to your support, we were able to make a total of 279 quilts for families last year.
As you may know, this project is run completely through our volunteers' hard work and
dedication. This means that all donations go directly to supplies, shipping quilts,
equipment, and expenses to keep the project alive. Thanks to your faith and belief in
Freedom Quilts, we have been able to give a total of 5,707 quilts to date.
We have been going strong for seven years now, but I need your support to keep our
mission alive. For this year's annual fundraiser, Freedom Quilts will be raffling a
Quilt Made with Love. You can help Freedom Quilts with your donation. For every $25
you donate, your name will be entered into the drawing for a beautiful handmade quilt.
If you donate $50, your name will be entered twice; three times for a $75 donation and
so forth. We will draw the winning name on July 4th, 2008. We will contact the winner
and also place the winners name on our website. You can see a picture of the quilt at

I hope that you will choose to support us this year. Last year's quilt raffle was a
great success. Freedom Quilts supporter, Arlene Tipping from New York, won the 2007
Freedom Quilts raffle.
Day after day, we receive quilt requests from families in pain. We fulfilled these
requests last year, and this year we are committed to doing the same. Through your
donations, you have given hope to people all over the world who have mourned the loss
of a loved one. Together, we have shown these families that we do care.
Please join us - whether through the raffle or just by giving a donation - and help
to bring love and comfort to a family in need.
Thank you,
